Stablecoins on a household balance sheet: label, issuer, and risk in plain English

If it shows up next to cash, ask what backs it. Sample desk copy — not a buy/sell call.

Sample Asset Wire crypto literacy piece. No issuer rankings or yield promises.

A stablecoin is not the same as an FDIC-insured bank deposit. Reserves, redemption rules, and venue risk live in the issuer’s docs and the exchange’s terms.

For net worth clarity: separate “bank cash,” “brokerage cash/sweep,” and “stablecoin or crypto” buckets. Mixing them in one “cash” tile hides the disclosure that matters.

Asset Wire’s Crypto section stays aimed at household clarity — wallets, venues, and how balances appear — not candle charts.
