When a crypto exchange hiccups, what changes in a net-worth view?

Stale balances and missing wallets are clarity problems first. Here’s the calm checklist — not a trade idea.

Sample Asset Wire crypto desk copy. No coin picks, no fabricated outage claims about a named venue.

If an exchange or wallet connection fails to refresh, a household net-worth view can look wrong even when nothing “traded.” The first questions are operational: Is the link still authorized? Is the venue in maintenance? Are only some assets delayed?

Treat crypto like any other account bucket: know what you hold, where it lives, and whether the last refresh time is trustworthy. That is knowing — not chasing candles.

Asset Wire will cover how exchanges and on-ramps show up in household money views. Sample stories stay labeled until editorial replaces them.
